I went through this phase called Petes Emporium.

It's this store that has an endless amount of fabric and I was down there every week buying a different colour or different texture and this time Kate and I chose this blue netted thing that we draped over her.

I had secured my strobe light to a rope that I could pulley up to the roof above her to get this soft overhead lighting that has gradual fall off as it goes down. I remember feeling quite clever that I could keep the light in place with a peg and a straw. Kiwi ingenuity hahaha.

Then we got fish and chips from the dairy over the train tracks. They're the best chips in town.

Haley has been my biggest fan and supporter since I started in photography. During this time we have been a couple, and friends. She has watched me grow and been more than willing to participate in early morning sunrise photography, to sitting in front of my lights so I can learn. She did years of that with me. I don't see Haley that much anymore as she lives in another city with her new family chasing her own dreams. We were able to let each other be free and encourage each other to be happy. For that, we will always be close. Thanks Hales. Love you heaps. Model - Haley Malcolm

I was looking forward to this shoot. The crew that I had with me were the best I knew and we got the whole church to ourselves. I still remember the smell of the wood and how nice the lady was that let us use the place. Rasha Taylor deserves a special mention. She is an insane designer and let us go down to her store to use whatever we wanted. Thank you Rasha. Model - Suzy Broad HMUA - Lilith Feuerriegel Dress - Rasha Taylor
