We had an interesting chat Donne and I. She was telling me what it was like to be a model.

The part where people are constantly looking at you.

The way she explained I had never thought of from her point of view but it made a whole lotta sense. Trying to recall how she said it right now is a bit hard but I understood that day.

I find it easy to be with Donne. Sometimes I bump into her at the gym. I've been on television with her and to Thailand and Rarotonga. We both love tattoos and having a good time. She likes to sing.

Once I saw her doing yoga in 35 degree heat (in the sun) at this Villa we stayed at in Phuket. She wasn't even sweating. She's full of surprises.

I changed my shooting style for this shoot. I can see it working with retail. The desaturated look and her chill pose and the white in the sky which was intentionally blown out because pretty blue was too...pretty. Model - Lia Forrest

These blue doors are famous. They are attached to a studio at Trentham Racecourse run by my friend Porio Maka-Kea. I used to have half of the studio but have since moved on. These doors have been shot by many photographers over the years. This was my turn with Alex. I'll never forget that Alex insisted we shoot outside. After shooting in studio for a little while and heading out I saw her blossom and my favorite photo from the shoot was this one. Model - Alexandra McEwen Coat - Courtesy of Vanessa Forlong

Countdown Supermarket Newtown Is where you will find this location. I had it in my head for years but never got tried it. Brittany and I were going up and down and up and down... When the doors opened we just stood there staring at the shoppers laughing and went back down, or back up until we had our photos. I thought how the light bounced around with the silver shiney was awesome. It was a great day and so much fun. These are some of the reasons I love fashion photography. Model - Brittany Gilchrist
